01 Acceptance of These Terms
Accepting a written quote, in writing or verbally, means accepting these terms as they stand on the date of that quote.
Where a written agreement says something different from this page, the written agreement governs for that job.
Nothing on this page replaces rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
02 What a Quote Covers
A quote covers the work described in it, at the area described in it, and nothing beyond that. Areas not listed are not included even where they adjoin the work.
Quotes are given as a range where the base has not yet been fully opened, because base depth is the largest variable in the price and cannot be seen from the surface.
A quote is valid for thirty days. Material costs move, and past that we would rather re-price than absorb it quietly or surprise you later.
03 Access and What We Need From You
Please clear the work area of furniture, planters, vehicles and anything precious before the crew arrives. We will work around what cannot be moved, but a clear area is faster and cheaper.
We need a route for materials and a place to stage them. Where access is restricted, that is reflected in the quote, and a change in access after quoting may change the price.
- Mark any private irrigation, lighting or invisible fencing in the work area.
- Public utility locates are arranged by us where excavation depth requires them.
- Water access is helpful for jointing and cleaning, and we will ask on the visit.
04 How the Work Is Carried Out
We open the base before giving a firm price wherever the repair depends on what is underneath, and the quote names the cause we found.
Base material is compacted in layers rather than in a single lift, and jointing is installed to the product manufacturer instructions including cure time.
Anything we lift is re-sanded and the site swept before the crew leaves, on the same visit rather than as a return trip.
05 Workmanship
We stand behind the work we carry out. If an area we repaired settles again and the cause we named was the cause, come back to us and we will look at it.
- Covered: settlement in a repaired area where the identified cause was addressed by us.
- Not covered: settlement caused by something outside the quoted scope, such as drainage we recommended and was declined.
- Not covered: damage from vehicles heavier than the surface was rebuilt for, from excavation by others, or from tree root growth after the work.
Colour variation between lifted and unlifted stone is normal and is not a defect. It generally evens out over a season outdoors.
06 Limits and Existing Conditions
Interlock repair works with the materials already on site. Existing pavers can crack during lifting, particularly where they are already spalling from de-icing salt, and replacements may not match a discontinued line.
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions we did not cause, including foundation movement, prior drainage decisions, or work carried out by others.
Where a wall exceeds the height at which local rules require an engineered drawing, we will say so and ask for the drawing rather than building to an assumption.
07 Scheduling, Weather and Cancellation
This work is seasonal. Base work needs unfrozen ground and jointing needs dry weather above roughly ten degrees, so the season runs from spring to late autumn.
Dates are given in good faith and weather moves them. We will tell you as early as we can, and a delayed job keeps its place in the queue rather than going to the back.
Cancelling with reasonable notice costs nothing. Cancelling after materials have been ordered or delivered may carry the cost of those materials.
08 Payment
A deposit may be requested on larger jobs to cover materials, and it is stated on the quote rather than raised afterwards.
The balance is due on completion, meaning when the work described in the quote has been carried out and the site handed back.
Prices shown anywhere on this site are typical ranges for guidance. They are not quotes and no price is binding until it is given in writing for your property.
09 Your Information
We collect what we need to quote and carry out the work: name, address, contact details and what you tell us about the property. We do not sell it.
Before and after photographs may be taken for the job record. On residential work we ask before using any image anywhere else, and a refusal is not a problem.
10 Changes to These Terms
These terms may change. The version that applies to your job is the one in force on the date of your quote, and the date at the top of this page says which that is.
If you want a copy of the terms as they stood on your quote date, ask and we will send it.
